One evening after a few swift ones with a couple mates I decided to head home uncharacteristically early, after maybe only having one more than I should. I jumped on the tube, headphones on, newspaper in hand, pretentiousness maxed out. Just as we stopped to pick up the drunkards from bank station, I looked up from the Rush hour crush section to see a familiar girl sit opposite me. Did i swipe her on hinge ? she looked 🚀, not like in her blurry photos she had on her profile. Maybe it was the alcohol. I didn't have the balls to go up to her on the train, but I sent the girl who I thought it was a message, "This is going to sound really weird if this wasn't you, but we're just on the tube from bank?"

I instantly recognised him as that somewhat pretentious-looking guy from the tube the night before - bright pink socks, legs crossed, newspaper in lap… remember, he was 25 at the time and it was late Friday. The night was young people! A quick skim of his profile and it didn’t take long to remember why the ghost - questionable humour. A possible accidental swipe perhaps… still 🔥 though.
After a postponed first date, some absurdly long WhatsApp messages (literal essays), and a chaotic phone call trying to locate each other at Liverpool st station, we finally met by spoons. Classy. Some insane dates, a mortgage, furball and one crazy proposal later, I can safely say it was the best accidental swipe of my life.

Can I bring my children?
We love your little ones, but we're aiming for a mostly adults-only celebration so everyone can fully enjoy the evening's festivities (and maybe a cocktail or two). That said, if leaving the little ones at home means you can't come, let us know—we’d much rather have you with us! Just drop us a message, and we’ll figure it out together. 😊
What is the dress code?
Get ready to dazzle! Our wedding is all about festive, cosy vibes with a sprinkle of sparkle. Think winter chic—glam dresses, sharp suits, and maybe a bit of glitter if you’re feeling fancy. It’s the perfect excuse to dress up and shine as we celebrate together (and don’t forget, it’s late November, so keep warm layers in mind too!). ✨🎄
Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?
Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors, so no need to worry about braving the November chill! That said, there may be opportunities to step outside for some magical wintery photos or fresh air - so don’t forget your coats and scarves! ❄️
What time should I arrive?
We’d recommend arriving 30 minutes before the ceremony begins to get settled, enjoy the atmosphere, and grab a good seat (and drink!). The ceremony will kick off at 2pm, so don’t be fashionably late—leave that to the bride! 😉✨
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, there’s plenty of parking available at Cripps Barn for those driving in. If you’re planning to enjoy the party (and the bar!) a little too much to drive home, you’re welcome to leave your car overnight and pick it up the next day. Just make sure it’s gone by the following morning, as we wouldn’t want your wheels to crash the next event! 🚗✨
What’s on the menu?
We’ll be serving a warm and hearty winter feast, including options for all dietary preferences. Take our word for it, it'll be DELISH.. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary needs via RSVP.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
Absolutely! Feel free to capture the special moments during the ceremony. Just be mindful of the photographer—they’ll be working their magic too! And maybe keep the flash off to avoid blinding anyone mid-vows. We can’t wait to see your snaps! 📸✨
